I've Been A Little Busy !

I haven't posted much this week

because I'm in the process of

moving my entire shop !

I have been sooooo tired and

extremely sore from all

the packing , moving,

lifting, unpacking, & arranging.

I still have a few more loads to

do and I hope I never have to

do this again!

Mark & Marie

A first Valentines Day

in the new home for

Mark & Marie!

Mark brought Marie some

gorgeous flowers, a heart

shaped box of gourmet

chocolates &

a surprise gift.

Marie spent the afternoon

baking Mark's favorite

double layer chocolate

cake with butter cream

frosting and of course she

added a rose on top.

He also has a surprise gift

to unwrap.

They are so in love &

spend some time enjoying

some slow dancing

together whispering &

giggling to each other.

The evening ends with

a little romance.

What A Gift To Be A Nana

Even on the worst of

cold winter days, and no

matter what is going on in

my life , this little guy can

put a smile on my face &

make me think of nothing

else but him.

I was a lucky Nana to have my

grand baby boy for a

sleep over last weekend.

What a doll. We slept in his big

boy bed together which was filled

with toys. We also slept with the night

light on so you know who got more

sleep than Nana.

And this is the next morning ,

still surrounded by toys,

watching something wonderful on

TV I guess

because he was so mesmerized that he

hardly paid attention to his green pop

that Nana handed to him.

So innocent & content

and not a care in

the world . I love it !

Not A Fairy Tale Post !

A couple of nights ago at 2:30 a.m.

My husband and I woke to

a very loud and scary noise of

glass beaking.

You can see that at the top

of my roof line we lost

half of our ice dam.

And when this massive and very heavy

piece of ice decided to fall part

of it came crashing through

my office/craft room window !

This is what it looked like after I

lifted a chunk of ice that measured

about 12" x 12" x 8" and through it

back outside through the broken

window and ripped screen.

After I cleaned up all the glass

I hung out the window and

threw as many big chunks of ice

off of the roof as I

could to take the weight

off of my balcony roof.

There have been so many houses

and barns here and

businesses to that have had

roofs caving in !

This part also happend at 2:30 a.m.

The large rectangular

chunk of ice you see laying on the

ground hit my car on the

way down and left a

nasty dent by my headlight.

Another piece shattered the winshield on

my husband's company vehicle.

It hit so hard that it left an actual

hole in the windsheild & also

cracked his dashboard.

I am soooooo thankful that nobody

was out in my driveway when this

ice let go.

To add a little more icing to the cake......

My adorable little shop

Trinkets & Treasures

has had major leaking problems

since this severe winter weather

has started. Many days I have

arrived at my shop to find a mess.

May things have been water

damaged and now alot of items

are just mushed to the center

of the floor away from the leaky area.

A piece of the ceiling fell in

just the other day.

Needles to say I will be

moving my shop soon !

I found another cute little shop

just 2 miles down the same road.

I have much work ahead of me.

Sun kissed Orange Soap !

After one too many snow

storms I have been in need

of something to remind me

of warm weather so I

decided to make some citrus

scented soap.

Sun Kissed Orange !

I'll be selling it in my shop

but I did keep a bar for myself.

This yummy soap has a creamy

mango butter base & is

scented with a rich

orange essential oil .

I've added some freshly

grated zest of orange too.

It's the perfect aromatherapy for a

cold winters day.

Trying To Stay Warm

My sweet little girlfriend Minnie

all dressed in her sweater and

snuggling on the couch with

her blankie.

And her own little baby poodle.

Make Some Valentines !

Mark & Marie Bethany

It's been awhile since

we've heard from the newest

neighbors on Birch Tree Lane.

Mark & Marie's house was

finished being built back

in October.

Between the holidays &

just the usual busy days in

their lives they have only

just made a small dent in

making their house a

HOME.

They've added a couple of little

touches outside to make it

a little more welcoming.

Marie's been baking bread &

insists on having fresh

flowers around always.

The living room is becoming

quite cozy. Mark and Marie enjoy making plans together and relaxing with their dog Lava. A few old family pictures have been hung.

The kitchen still needs everything but is workable for now.

Marie has started painting but this color is not purple ! It's actually a peachy rosy kind of color she chose for her bedroom.

The bedroom's shaping up and has been very comfy. Marie just loves the old brass bed they found at an antique fair.

Marie loves her new bathroom which is large enough for her vanity! Mark & Marie will definitely share more pictures as they make progress.
