Pumpkins & Crows

I got home from my shop the other day

and walked up my walk to see this.

I had to do a double take & I

thought for a split second

" wow, why isn't he flying

away?".

I found out later that my neighbor had

put this crow in my yard.

Did you ever keep staring at

something even though you

know it's not real & wait to see

if it moves??? lol

Well that's how my brain works ,

it took a second to sink in

that the crow wasn't real.

He looks good though so I left him

where I found him.

Check out this long tall pumpkin
that was given to me!
The person who gave it to me
thinks it crossed with a squash.
I love it , it's over a foot tall.

New Dolly

Isn't she beautiful !?? While I was working in my shop yesterday my hubby was out running around & stopping at a few tag sales. He spotted this sweetie & just knew I would love her. He paid $1.00 !! Can you believe it!?? I think she's great. Look at her outfit. It's an old christening outfit with a hand embroidered bonnet. The tag on her dress says , " handmade imported". She even cries when you tip her back & forth ! She will have a great home here with me.

New Neighbors !

Well the new house in the
neighborhood is built &
SOLD !
Meet Mark & Marie Bethany
They are empty nesters that
said some day they would move
to the country.
Marie has an eye for Victorian
style homes even though
her taste in decorating is more
of a mix of styles.
Mark says " whatever Marie
wants , Marie gets ".

The new house certainly did

not, nor could it ever , take 30

minutes to build like the front

of the box said . The house

took about 2 weeks of chipping

away at it and it still needs a

little on the outside.

Putting up the second floor

and then the third was like

building a house of cards.

It all kept tumbling down !

But finally it's done and
Mark and Marie are happy &
have already put out the
welcome mat.
Thay have the entire inside to
finish but they are looking
forward to it.
For today they are just enjoying
the view from their new
balcony.

Some Fleamarket Shopping

Look at this gem
of a witch I found! She's long and gangly and very ugly and cute at the same time. She was $5.00 at the fleamarket! This sweet little sewing box filled with wooden spools of white thread was $3.00. Vintage paperweight, $3.00. Cool little white shabby pitcher with a face was $1.50. I also got a pile of little trolls. All under $1.00 each.
A pile of bakelite babies ! .50 each .
Some new magazines, $1.00 each.
Two neat books for 1.50 each.
This is a Susan Branch book that I didn't have yet. I love all of her books. They are always full of great ideas and her writing & artwork is amazing.

Around The House

I have this love for
old game pieces &
letters !
A sweet fall gift
from a friend of
mine.
My growing collection
of tomato pin cushions.
Some are filled with sand.
Some have a built in
measuring tape.
My bedroom dresser top. Sweet vintage kitty doll. She has a real fur face & only has ears on her hat. Take her hat off and she has no ears. She's great with her striking green eyes.

New House

Well we all know that I needed a
new house !
I couldn't help it, I
found this brand new house
at a tag sale for only $15.00!
Another dollhouse will join
my neighborhood of three
other homes and a small store.
This is what we refer to as my
" dollhouse room". My make shift store on one shelf I borrowed from my music box collection. My little fantasy room .
The fairies and their Fairy House have now moved in with me in my little studio/office. The box cover for my new house says it "can be put together in 30 minutes". They lie. It takes more than 30 minutes to open and unpack all the pieces and read the directions. Then you have to start by gluing certain pieces together & letting them dry well. I'm sure I'll be done in a couple of weeks.. LOL.
