My Goldilocks Room

I call this room "My Goldilocks Room" because of all of the brown bears of course . I live in a very old house built in 1891 & the rooms are very small . This room is a guest bedroom & I think it's very cozy with some antiques around and lots and lots of brown bears. The amber glass lamp lit up at night really casts a beautiful glow on the room . And to help you fall asleep is the tranquil sound of my waterfall only a few feet away in the back yard . Waking up in this room is just as relaxing because of the happy sounds of birds are added to the bubbling sounds of my pond . If you look out the window you may get a glimpse of my two koi happily swimming around , the frog sunning himself and trying to catch his breakfast , & an assortment of birds taking their morning bath in my waterfall as they wait for me to awake and fill their feeder . It's my favorite time of day and I too see all of these things from my own bedroom window . Looking outside is the very first thing I do each day . I'm very grateful for what I see .

Hens & Chicks In My Boots !

My stepson gave these boots that he painted to my husband a few years ago for Father's Day . They look great in the garden with the "Hens & Chicks" overflowing out of them & the green fuzzy moss growing on the tips of the toes & lace areas .

My Favorite Childhood Books

Do you remember these old Raggedy Ann & Andy Books ? If so then I think that you are my age or maybe even older . I had a couple of these books while growing up but they were either passed on to someone else or gotten rid of . These old books are full of beautiful illustrations by Johnny Gruelle . Well , I was at a church thrift store one time and found 10 of these books for only $2.00! I left the store with my brown paper bag full . They are still on my book shelf and occasionally I open one up just to look at the amazing artwork . Some day I may even read one !

Raining Cats and Dogs Here !!

It's really been raining buckets here for the last few days ! We are getting water logged here in Massachusetts . Every day when I get home from work I dump about 4 more inches of rain out of various containers that I have outside . Today I noticed that even my lawn isn't soaking it up any more . I had puddles on the lawn ! The only ones happy with all of this are my two koi & my frog . They look happy as can be and their water is crystal clear in the pond . Hopefully the sun will shine tomorrow !

My Second Dollhouse .....

My second doll house was a valentines gift from my husband .
It's old and it's handmade . I had seen it at an antique shop &
kept looking at it each time I went in there even though it was
much more rustic than my first and needed many renovations.
It has it's own charm .
